The Agenda…

We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the Cairn Hotel,  Ripon Road, Harrogate,  HG1 2JD – just up from the town centre.The meeting starts at 7.00pm and we suggest you arrive at 6.45 in time to chat and sign in. The meetings are Free! A typical meeting will consist of the following:
7.00 Sergeant-at-Arms calls the meeting to order
Grammarian – A member chooses the word of the day – you just have to use it!
The Ah Counter – Stop using those umms and ahs as a crutch in your speech – here’s how
The Programmed Speeches – Members are progressing through the Competent Communicator Manuals to improve their speaking skills.
Evaluation – Each speaker is evaluated and given constructive and positive feedback to help them in the future
Table Topics – Ever wondered what it’s like to do a speech unprepared and on the spot? Well so did all our members and guests! Don’t worry we won’t pick on you unless you want to join in the fun!
The meeting will normally end around 9.00pm
